Identification

  • Name: How you identify your horse. Starter names are generated based on their lineage or random traits.
  • Owner: Your stable name.
  • Lineage: Sire (Father) and Dam (Mother) IDs link to parent horses, crucial for breeding. Foundation horses have no listed parents.

Age & Lifecycle

  • Age: Displayed in Years and Months (e.g., 2y 3m). Based on age_in_months updated seasonally.
  • Birth Info: Records the in-game birth_year and birth_season (1-4).
  • Career Status: Determines available actions:
    • Foal (0-12mo): Cannot train or race.
    • Yearling (13-24mo): Training can begin. No racing.
    • Racing (25-108mo / Age 2-8): Eligible for racing. Prime is typically ages 3-5. Gradual performance decline possible after age 5/6.
    • Broodmare / Stallion (Age 3/4+): Eligible for breeding.
    • Retired_Breeding (Up to Age 15): Can only breed.
    • Retired_Pasture: Fully retired.
